Something to use this week
CBT and solution-focused work, so sessions end with a concrete step rather than a general principle.
Deadlines spread across a whole term, a classroom to run, a shift rota that keeps turning. Practical ADHD support for adults in St. Catharines and across Niagara, online.
If the pattern goes back further than the to-do list, Ghazal Sheikhtaheri, RP (Qualifying), works in Schema Therapy (depth-oriented and unhurried).
Some people want tools for this week. Others want to trace a pattern to its root. Both are good therapy. Ghazal is currently booking by waitlist (3–4 weeks).
Most adults arrive at this conversation having already tried harder. Harder is not the missing ingredient, and it has usually been the only advice on offer for twenty years. What is actually difficult is a specific set of things: starting, sequencing, holding information in place while you use it, and switching between one mode and the next.
(This page is general information, not an assessment. A Registered Psychotherapist does not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication, and you do not need a diagnosis for this work to be useful.)
Tina works in cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, which in practice means sessions are structured without being rigid. You name what you want to be different, the two of you work out what is holding it in place, and you leave with something to try before the next one.
The systems are deliberately small. An elaborate one built on a good week will not survive a bad one, and every abandoned system becomes further evidence for a story you have been telling yourself for a long time. That story is the second half of the work, and for most people it turns out to be the half that was costing more.

Tina Abadi, RP, CRPO #13777, with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Including the part of this that was never only about focus. Sessions in either language.
No commute and no waiting room, so the trip to an appointment is one less thing to manage.
Insurance receipts provided after every session. Tina is a fully Registered Psychotherapist, so psychotherapy with an RP is commonly covered; please confirm the details with your insurer.

Brock University brings thousands of students to St. Catharines, and for many adults with ADHD university is where the structure disappears: no bells, nobody checking, a handful of large deadlines spread across a term, often in a new city away from the family routines that used to hold things together. Graduate students meet the same problem at a larger scale, with a thesis that has no obvious next step. Brock's own counselling service is a sensible first stop for registered students, and individual therapy can sit alongside it.
Working life in the city asks something similar in other forms. Teachers juggle lesson plans, marking and constant interruptions; hospital staff work shifts that rotate before a routine can settle; plant workers adjust to schedules that change with production. None of that causes ADHD, but each removes the outside structure that attention leans on, and the cost tends to show up as unfinished paperwork, missed appointments and a private conviction that everyone else is simply trying harder.
The work with Tina is cognitive behavioural and concrete: breaking long horizons into starts that can actually happen, building a few sturdy anchors that survive a changing rota, and addressing the self-criticism that years of “capable but disorganized” tend to leave behind. Sessions are online across Ontario, in English or Farsi, which also removes the planning load of getting to an appointment in a city where most errands mean a drive.
