Something to use this week
CBT and solution-focused work, so sessions end with a concrete step rather than a general principle.
A demanding job, a household to run and a commute on the QEW or the GO train, all held together by an effort nobody sees. ADHD in capable adults often looks exactly like this, and it is workable.
If the pattern goes back further than the to-do list, Ghazal Sheikhtaheri, RP (Qualifying), works in Schema Therapy (depth-oriented and unhurried).
Some people want tools for this week. Others want to trace a pattern to its root. Both are good therapy. Ghazal is currently booking by waitlist (3–4 weeks).
Most adults arrive at this conversation having already tried harder. Harder is not the missing ingredient, and it has usually been the only advice on offer for twenty years. What is actually difficult is a specific set of things: starting, sequencing, holding information in place while you use it, and switching between one mode and the next.
(This page is general information, not an assessment. A Registered Psychotherapist does not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication, and you do not need a diagnosis for this work to be useful.)
Tina works in cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, which in practice means sessions are structured without being rigid. You name what you want to be different, the two of you work out what is holding it in place, and you leave with something to try before the next one.
The systems are deliberately small. An elaborate one built on a good week will not survive a bad one, and every abandoned system becomes further evidence for a story you have been telling yourself for a long time. That story is the second half of the work, and for most people it turns out to be the half that was costing more.

Including the part of this that was never only about focus. Sessions in either language.
No commute and no waiting room, so the trip to an appointment is one less thing to manage.
Insurance receipts provided after every session. Tina is a fully Registered Psychotherapist, so psychotherapy with an RP is commonly covered; please confirm the details with your insurer.

Burlington runs on timetables. Trains leave Appleby, Burlington and Aldershot GO for Union on the Lakeshore West schedule, the city's three highways converge at one busy interchange that punishes anyone ten minutes late, and many workplaces here depend on people holding a dozen moving parts in mind at once. For an adult with ADHD, that is a demanding setting even on a good day. The transitions (out the door, onto the train or the highway, into the first meeting) are exactly where executive function is weakest, and a commute doubles them.
It is also a place where a great deal of ADHD goes unnoticed. Many capable adults manage it by brute force: longer hours, later nights, lists on lists, an enormous private effort to produce what looks like an ordinary week. The cost stays invisible until something removes the scaffolding (a promotion into less structured work, a new baby, a move to hybrid work, a parent who now needs care). Nothing about attention changed; the supports did. Some people only begin to wonder about ADHD in their forties or fifties, after one of their children is assessed and the description sounds uncomfortably familiar.
The work with Tina is structured and practical. Together you rebuild the scaffolding deliberately instead of by exhaustion: externalising what has been held in working memory, putting something small and reliable at the transitions where the day breaks, and shortening the distance between intention and action. Alongside that, you look at what the effort has been protecting. For many high-functioning adults it is a long-standing belief that being found out is a real risk, and that belief deserves its own attention.
Sessions are online across Ontario, in English or Farsi, so there is no appointment to reach after the train gets in or the drive home, and evening times are available. You join from home, wherever you are in Burlington.
