How It Works

What online therapy looks like

At NoorMinds, every session happens by secure, encrypted video — so you can do meaningful psychotherapy from anywhere in Ontario. You book a time, receive a private link, and join from a quiet space of your choosing. That's it.

Online work isn't a watered-down version of therapy. The depth, the relationship, and the methods — Schema Therapy, attachment-focused and emotion-focused work — are exactly the same. For many people, being in their own space makes it easier to open up.

Is It Effective?

Does virtual therapy actually work?

Yes. Research over the past decade consistently finds that video-based psychotherapy is as effective as in-person sessions for most concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. What matters most for outcomes is the quality of the therapeutic relationship — and that translates fully to video.

Virtual care also removes the practical barriers that keep people from starting: no commute, no waiting room, easier scheduling around work and family, and access for people in communities where a culturally-matched, Farsi-speaking therapist simply isn't available locally.

Who It's For

Who chooses online therapy

Online therapy suits anyone in Ontario who wants depth-oriented care with flexibility — professionals with packed calendars, parents, students, people outside the big cities, and members of the Iranian and Persian-speaking community who want to work in Farsi.
