Something to use this week
CBT and solution-focused work, so sessions end with a concrete step rather than a general principle.
Charting after a long shift, a first year with no one checking in, a short commute that leaves the day with no shape. Practical ADHD support for adults in London, Ontario, online.
If the pattern goes back further than the to-do list, Ghazal Sheikhtaheri, RP (Qualifying), works in Schema Therapy (depth-oriented and unhurried).
Some people want tools for this week. Others want to trace a pattern to its root. Both are good therapy. Ghazal is currently booking by waitlist (3–4 weeks).
Most adults arrive at this conversation having already tried harder. Harder is not the missing ingredient, and it has usually been the only advice on offer for twenty years. What is actually difficult is a specific set of things: starting, sequencing, holding information in place while you use it, and switching between one mode and the next.
(This page is general information, not an assessment. A Registered Psychotherapist does not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication, and you do not need a diagnosis for this work to be useful.)
Tina works in cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, which in practice means sessions are structured without being rigid. You name what you want to be different, the two of you work out what is holding it in place, and you leave with something to try before the next one.
The systems are deliberately small. An elaborate one built on a good week will not survive a bad one, and every abandoned system becomes further evidence for a story you have been telling yourself for a long time. That story is the second half of the work, and for most people it turns out to be the half that was costing more.

Tina Abadi, RP, CRPO #13777, with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Including the part of this that was never only about focus. Sessions in either language.
No commute and no waiting room, so the trip to an appointment is one less thing to manage.
Insurance receipts provided after every session. Tina is a fully Registered Psychotherapist, so psychotherapy with an RP is commonly covered; please confirm the details with your insurer.

In London, Ontario, health care is a bigger share of work than in many cities: in the 2021 Census about 11 per cent of employed residents worked in health occupations, compared with roughly 7 to 8 per cent in Kitchener and Mississauga. For an adult with ADHD that work often divides neatly in two. The bedside, the clinic room and the emergency department are immediate and interactive, and attention holds. Then come the charting, the handover notes, the referral letters and the continuing-education modules, delayed and solitary, and that is where the day comes apart. A missed chart can feel like a moral failure rather than an executive-function one, and in caring work the self-criticism that follows is often the sharpest part.
Students meet the same problem from another direction. School supplied structure from outside: bells, deadlines checked every week, someone at home noticing. University and college remove most of it at once, and it is common for ADHD to become impossible to ignore in the first year or two, when the capacity that carried you through high school runs out. Short commutes help less than people expect. In 2021, 77 per cent of London commuters got to work in under half an hour, so the drive is rarely the obstacle; the missing scaffolding of the day usually is.
The work with Tina Abadi, RP (CRPO #13777), is cognitive behavioural and practical. We build documentation and study habits small enough to survive a bad week, attach tasks to anchors that already exist in your shift or timetable, and shorten the gap between intention and action. Alongside that, we work directly on the shame that tends to be loudest in people who care a great deal about doing things well. Sessions are online, which fits around clinical rotations and class schedules, and are available in English or Farsi.
