Something to use this week
CBT and solution-focused work, so sessions end with a concrete step rather than a general principle.
Rotating shifts, production targets, a first term at university with no one checking in. Practical ADHD support for adults in Windsor, built around the schedule you actually have.
If the pattern goes back further than the to-do list, Ghazal Sheikhtaheri, RP (Qualifying), works in Schema Therapy (depth-oriented and unhurried).
Some people want tools for this week. Others want to trace a pattern to its root. Both are good therapy. Ghazal is currently booking by waitlist (3–4 weeks).
Most adults arrive at this conversation having already tried harder. Harder is not the missing ingredient, and it has usually been the only advice on offer for twenty years. What is actually difficult is a specific set of things: starting, sequencing, holding information in place while you use it, and switching between one mode and the next.
(This page is general information, not an assessment. A Registered Psychotherapist does not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication, and you do not need a diagnosis for this work to be useful.)
Tina works in cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, which in practice means sessions are structured without being rigid. You name what you want to be different, the two of you work out what is holding it in place, and you leave with something to try before the next one.
The systems are deliberately small. An elaborate one built on a good week will not survive a bad one, and every abandoned system becomes further evidence for a story you have been telling yourself for a long time. That story is the second half of the work, and for most people it turns out to be the half that was costing more.

Tina Abadi, RP, CRPO #13777, with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Including the part of this that was never only about focus. Sessions in either language.
No commute and no waiting room, so the trip to an appointment is one less thing to manage.
Insurance receipts provided after every session. Tina is a fully Registered Psychotherapist, so psychotherapy with an RP is commonly covered; please confirm the details with your insurer.

In Windsor, 11.4 per cent of the labour force was in manufacturing and utilities occupations in 2021, compared with 3.9 per cent in Toronto. Shift work is common in manufacturing and in health care, and for an adult with ADHD a schedule that rotates is one of the hardest conditions to work under. Sleep is usually the first thing it takes, and attention, working memory and emotional control all lean on sleep more than most people realize. People often arrive convinced they are getting worse when the real change is that the one support they had has been taken away.
Students meet ADHD from another direction. The University of Windsor and St. Clair College bring in students from Canada and abroad, and non-permanent residents, many of them international students, were 3.3 per cent of the city in 2021. For some, the first term away from home is when ADHD becomes impossible to ignore: no bells, no one checking, a new country, and deadlines that land all at once. Commuting is rarely the problem here, since barely one Windsor commuter in forty spent an hour or more getting to work in 2021; the difficulty is the unstructured time in between.
The work with Tina Abadi, RP (CRPO #13777), starts with what is breaking down: sleep and transitions first, then two or three habits sturdy enough to move with a rota or a timetable, then the self-criticism that builds over years of being told to pull it together. It is cognitive behavioural, concrete and small-scale. Sessions are online, which saves a trip across town between shifts, and are available in English or Farsi.
