Something to use this week
CBT and solution-focused work, so sessions end with a concrete step rather than a general principle.
A new house, a new job, maybe a new baby, and a routine that mostly runs by car. ADHD support for adults in Vaughan, online across Ontario, in English or Farsi.
If the pattern goes back further than the to-do list, Ghazal Sheikhtaheri, RP (Qualifying), works in Schema Therapy (depth-oriented and unhurried).
Some people want tools for this week. Others want to trace a pattern to its root. Both are good therapy. Ghazal is currently booking by waitlist (3–4 weeks).
Most adults arrive at this conversation having already tried harder. Harder is not the missing ingredient, and it has usually been the only advice on offer for twenty years. What is actually difficult is a specific set of things: starting, sequencing, holding information in place while you use it, and switching between one mode and the next.
(This page is general information, not an assessment. A Registered Psychotherapist does not diagnose ADHD or prescribe medication, and you do not need a diagnosis for this work to be useful.)
Tina works in cognitive behavioural and solution-focused approaches, which in practice means sessions are structured without being rigid. You name what you want to be different, the two of you work out what is holding it in place, and you leave with something to try before the next one.
The systems are deliberately small. An elaborate one built on a good week will not survive a bad one, and every abandoned system becomes further evidence for a story you have been telling yourself for a long time. That story is the second half of the work, and for most people it turns out to be the half that was costing more.

Tina Abadi, RP, CRPO #13777, with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Including the part of this that was never only about focus. Sessions in either language.
No commute and no waiting room, so the trip to an appointment is one less thing to manage.
Insurance receipts provided after every session. Tina is a fully Registered Psychotherapist, so psychotherapy with an RP is commonly covered; please confirm the details with your insurer.

Vaughan's population rose from 306,233 in 2016 to 323,103 in 2021, and growth of that kind is made of individual upheavals: a first house in a new subdivision, a new job, a new baby, a business in its first years. For an adult with ADHD each of those changes removes a piece of the scaffolding that was quietly holding the day together (the familiar route, the routine that ran on autopilot, the colleague who reminded you). People often read that period as a personal unravelling when it is more accurately a scaffolding problem, and reading it correctly changes what you do about it.
Daily logistics add weight. In 2021, 81.7% of Vaughan commuters drove to work, and the car is where many of the day's executive-function demands pile up: leaving on time, the school drop-off, the errand you meant to do on the way home and remembered in the driveway. In the same census 16.6% of residents were under 15, so many adults here are managing their children's schedules while struggling with their own, and sometimes it is watching a child's difficulties that first makes a parent wonder about themselves.
The work is cognitive behavioural and solution-focused, and deliberately modest in scope: a few systems sturdy enough to survive the next change, rather than an elaborate one that assumes a stability you do not have yet. Alongside that, the self-criticism, which tends to be loudest when everything else is in flux. Tina Abadi, RP (CRPO #13777), works online across Ontario in English or Farsi (فارسی), so this is one appointment that never needs the car.
